National Highways confirmed the closures:
- London-bound closure: between Junction 3 (M26 interchange) and Junction 1 (Swanley)
- Coastbound closure: between Junction 2 (A20, Wrotham Brands Hatch) and Junction 3
Traffic is being diverted onto local routes, causing significant delays across Kent and South East London during the morning rush hour.
Authorities Warn Drivers to Steer Clear
