Crackdown on Local Drug Dealers

Dean Francis, 44, from Jenkins Green, and Jane Hucheson, 39, of Briarwood Road, Lowestoft, have both pleaded guilty to being involved in the supply of heroin. Hucheson also admitted to possession with intent to supply drugs, possession of cannabis, and absconding while on bail.

Three Years Behind Bars

Both were sentenced to three years in jail at Ipswich Crown Court. Police executed 123 warrants across their two addresses and found drugs, cash, and paraphernalia linked to the operation.

Police Praise Persistent Undercover Work

“The undercover operation by the Scorpion drug team uncovered a trafficking ring serving the Lowestoft community,” said T/DCI Matt Bodmer. “It took patience and multiple tactics to secure the evidence needed for conviction. This criminal activity was harming the local area, so sending these offenders to jail shows the police and partners’ commitment to tackling antisocial behaviour.”
