Family of Four Injured in Collision
The Ford carried two men aged 68 and 43, a 71-year-old woman, and an eight-year-old boy — all related. The crash left them with serious injuries including fractured ribs, brain bleeding, and punctured lungs. They were rushed to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for urgent treatment.
Fleeing Driver Caught After Police Hunt
A witness filmed Daffin sprinting from the scene, disappearing into the hedgerows towards Milton. Police launched a drone and dog search but initially failed to find him. However, footage helped officers track him down and arrest him shortly after.
Justice Served at Cambridge Crown Court
On Friday, 5 January, Daffin pleaded guilty to four counts of causing injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop, and driving without insurance. He was slammed with a three-year prison sentence and banned from driving for three and a half years.
