Visitor Caught Smuggling Drugs into HMP Peterborough
Darren Porter-Harris, 39, was nabbed trying to sneak class C drugs into HMP Peterborough during a visit in November 2019.
Prison Officers Find Pregabalin
Officers searched Porter-Harris and discovered Pregabalin, a prescription drug classified as a class C substance. He was promptly arrested on the spot.
Sentenced to Four Months
Porter-Harris, from The Boundary, Bedford, appeared at Cambridge Crown Court. He admitted guilt to bringing a prohibited item into prison and was handed a four-month jail sentence.
Detective Sergeant Peter Hume said: “Porter-Harris was clearly trying to sneak drugs into HMP Peterborough for someone else to sell but was caught red-handed. Those caught smuggling drugs will be arrested and put before the courts.”
