Wembley Tragedy: Boy, 12, Killed in Motorcycle Crash

At around 5pm on 16 September 2021, Dariusz Adamusiak, 37, smashed into a 12-year-old boy while riding his Yamaha motorcycle along Harrow Road, Sudbury.

The young victim, Qusai Alomar from Wembley, was rushed to hospital but tragically died three days later.

Speeding in a 20mph Zone

Speed checks revealed Adamusiak was blasting at least 39mph in a strict 20mph area moments before the collision. He stopped at the scene and did not flee.

Justice Served at Old Bailey

Adamusiak pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving. On Friday 14 April, Old Bailey sentenced him to two years and ten months in prison. He will serve half behind bars, with the rest on licence.

He also faces a driving ban for four years and five months and must pass an extended driving test before regaining his licence.

Police Speak Out

DI John Millward of the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command said:

“This was truly a tragic case where a young boy needlessly lost his life because a motorcyclist ignored the speed limit. My condolences remain with the family during this devastating time, and I thank them for their patience throughout the investigation.

I also want to commend my detectives and colleagues for their professionalism and dedication in seeking justice for this grieving family.”
