Man Charged After Pub Assault in Lymington

A 22-year-old man has been charged following an assault at the King’s Arms pub in Lymington.

Violence Erupts at Popular Pub

The incident took place around 8.30pm on Saturday, June 25, when a member of staff was attacked inside the King’s Arms on St. Thomas Street. The victim suffered minor injuries to his face and hands.

Suspect Faces Multiple Assault Charges

McCauley Thomas Douglas, from Darwin Road in Southampton, was hit with two counts of assault and one count of assault on an emergency worker. He has been granted bail and is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on Thursday, August 25.

Second Man Arrested but Released

Police also arrested a 25-year-old man from Marchwood on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker. He was subsequently released with a conditional caution.
