Weapon Sighting Sparks Police Response

Kent Police rushed to Mortimer Street at 5.50pm on Tuesday, April 26, after reports of a man seen carrying a weapon. Officers swiftly arrived on the scene and arrested a suspect without incident.

Luke Burch Charged with Firearm Offence and Vandalism

Local resident Luke Burch, 34, from Mortimer Street, Herne Bay, now faces serious charges. He has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. On top of that, he’s also charged with criminal damage for smashing up a cell at Margate Police Station.

Court Appearances Set

Burch appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, April 28. He was granted bail ahead of his next hearing at Canterbury Crown Court, scheduled for Monday, May 30.
