Crime Spree Cracked: Police Nab Third Suspect in Essex Burglary Blitz
James Campbell Snared for Driveway Thefts
On Tuesday, June 7, police arrested James Campbell over a string of break-ins targeting vehicles parked on driveways. The crimes happened throughout May, with victims also losing power tools and wallets.
The 29-year-old from Stephenson Avenue, Tilbury, Essex, faces nine burglary charges, one attempted burglary, and two counts of drunk driving. His offences stretch across Essex. Campbell was slapped into custody ahead of his court appearance at Medway Magistrates’ Court on June 8.
Two Others Already Charged
Campbell’s arrest follows earlier action against Benjamin Legg, 27, and Jack Piccolo, 25, who were hit with multiple burglary charges in nearby Rochester.
- Benjamin Legg from Academy Drive Road, Basildon, Essex – seven burglaries and one bank card theft.
- Jack Piccolo from Station Parade, Barking, Greater London – ten burglaries and one bank card theft.
Both men appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on May 28 and have been remanded for a maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone Crown Court hearing, date pending.
