Tragedy in Jacksdale: Boy Dies After Serious Injuries
Leila Picker, 22, from Main Road, Jacksdale, was arrested earlier this week following a horrifying incident. Nottinghamshire Police were called to a house on Main Road on 7 August, where they found a seriously injured boy.
The child was rushed to hospital but sadly died two days later.
Murder Charge Laid
Detective Inspector Steve Wragg said: “This is a tragic incident that has seen a boy lose his life.”
He added that police have been working hard to piece together what happened and have now charged a woman with murder.
“We believe the incident was isolated and contained within the property on Main Road. We are not looking for anyone else as our investigation continues,” Wragg reassured the public.
Family Pleads for Privacy
Police extended their sympathies to the grieving family. They have asked for privacy during this heartbreaking time.
Ms Picker appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Saturday in connection with the case.
