Oscar Taylor, 18, from Lees Road, Ashford, was slammed at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on 9 February 2022. He admitted to dangerous driving and blowing nearly three times over the legal drink-drive limit on 8 January in Hythe.

Dangerous Drink-Drive Offence

When pulled over, Taylor’s breath test showed 97 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal maximum is just 35 microgrammes. His reckless actions put other road users at serious risk.

Harsh Penalties for Reckless Behaviour

  • Driving ban for 23 months
  • 100 hours unpaid work to be completed within a year
  • £95 surcharge plus £85 in court costs

Taylor’s sentencing sends a clear message: drink-driving wrecks lives and will be punished severely. Stay safe and sober behind the wheel.
