Beckton Man Dies After Boozy Fall Outside East Ham Pharmacy
A Beckton man tragically died after a night out when he fell and suffered fatal head injuries, an inquest has revealed.
Accidental Fall Outside Kingsway Pharmacy
Constantin Silvio Ditescu, 55, of Richard House Drive, took a tumble outside Kingsway Pharmacy on Barking Road, East Ham, on March 9. He stumbled backwards and hit his head, suffering a severe brain injury.
Senior East London Coroner Graeme Irvine told the inquest opening on March 8 that Mr Ditescu had been “drinking with friends” before the accident.
Fighting for Life at Royal London Hospital
Mr Ditescu was rushed to Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, where medics battled to save him. Despite their efforts, he died nine days later on March 18.
The coroner confirmed the injuries appeared to be from an accidental fall. However, the exact circumstances remain under investigation.
