Panicked Pannerman Nabbed in Tunbridge Wells Saucepans Snatch

A man caught red-handed snatching shiny new saucepans in Tunbridge Wells has been swiftly busted thanks to sharp-eyed CCTV and Kent Police’s Safer Summer campaign.

CCTV Captures Cookware Crime Spree

On Monday 31 July, CCTV operators spotted a suspect strolling through the town centre carrying three brand-new saucepans. Kent Police was immediately alerted, and officers rushed to Wilko in Royal Victoria Place to review shop CCTV footage.

Quick Arrest Seals the Case

That same day, officers tracked down and arrested Paul Fogel, 44, at his home on Goods Station Road. He was taken into custody and later charged with theft of property worth £68.

Next Stop: Court Hearings

Fogel faced Medway Magistrates’ Court on 1 August and was granted conditional bail. He must return to Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on 6 October for a full hearing.
