Ex-PE Teacher Denies Child Sex Abuse Charges but Admits Sending Sexual Messages

Bronwen James, 29, has denied multiple charges of sexually abusing two girls and a boy. However, she admitted to sending sexual messages to a girl under 16 between 2019 and 2021.

Alleged Offences Span Four Towns

The alleged crimes allegedly happened between 2019 and 2023 across several locations, including Titchfield and Fareham in Hampshire, Chippenham in Wiltshire, and Alton in Staffordshire.

Former Teacher at Hardenhuish and Bitterne Park Schools

Wiltshire Police confirmed James used to teach at Hardenhuish School in Chippenham and Bitterne Park School in Southampton. She is also charged with making an indecent category C photograph of a child. A plea on this charge will be entered later.

Trial Set for April 2026

Judge Christopher Parker scheduled James’s trial for 27 April 2026 at Winchester Crown Court. She remains on conditional bail, banned from contacting victims or anyone under 16 unsupervised.
