Teen Charged with Murder After Brutal Knife Attack Outside SW18 Supermarket

Imran Boujdellal, 19, Held Over Fatal Stabbing

Imran Boujdellal, 19, of Bronti Close, SE17, was charged with murder on Saturday, 31 October. He is due to appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court today.

Knife Fight Sparks Tragedy on Garratt Lane

Police were called just before 5pm on Thursday, 29 October, following reports of a violent fight outside a supermarket on Garratt Lane, SW18. Officers found two males near the Garratt Lane Burial Ground with knife wounds.

One victim, identified as 15-year-old Joseph Marafini from Wandsworth, was rushed to hospital but later died from his injuries. The second victim suffered non-life threatening wounds and is receiving treatment.

Homicide Unit Launches Major Investigation

The Met’s Specialist Crime Command (Homicide) is leading the probe. Specially trained officers are supporting Joseph’s family. A post-mortem is planned to confirm the cause of death.

Additional Arrests Made as Police Appeal for Help

  • A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of affray on 29 October but later released without charge.
  • Another 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder on 31 October and remains in custody at a South London police station.

Police urge anyone with information, footage, or images related to the stabbing to call 101, quoting reference CAD 5042/29 Oct. “We know calling about knife crime is tough, but your tip could save lives,” a spokesperson said.
