A man in his 30s has been slapped with an 18-year jail sentence plus five years on licence after pleading guilty to horrific child sex offences.
Guilty Plea After Brutal Evidence Mounts
The offender, whose name is protected to shield the victims, caved in March 2023 when police presented a mountain of evidence. He was first nabbed in January 2022 after posting illegal images online.
Disturbing Discoveries on Seized Devices
Police executed a search warrant at his home, seizing multiple electronic devices. Detective Constable Jess Hawley’s painstaking analysis uncovered vile images of him abusing his three young children. These hidden files might have slipped past others but DC Hawley’s instincts saved the day.
“Her meticulous work uncovered hidden folders which could have gone unnoticed,” said DI Lee Wilson. “Because the children were so young, they couldn’t explain what happened. Our team compared pictures of scenes and clothing to piece the facts together.”
Serious Sentencing and Life Registration
On 2 January 2023, he admitted to 22 sex offences including rape of a child under 13, sexual assault, and making indecent images involving children aged from one to 14 years.
The judge branded him a “Dangerous Offender” and slapped him with a lifetime place on the Sex Offenders’ Register.
