Young Drug Dealer Nabbed Dumping Stash on Peterborough Streets
Sergio Pereira, 21, from Salford, made a desperate dash down Peterborough’s streets, chucking bags of crack cocaine and heroin as police closed in. But his stunt failed spectacularly. Cops caught him red-handed and he’s now behind bars.
Police Seize Over 125 Bags of Deadly Drugs
On 10 December, officers spotted Pereira hanging around with known drug users on Dickens Street, Eastfield. When he saw the police, he bolted down Padholme Road, frantically tossing packets of Class A drugs.
The haul? More than 125 wraps packed with heroin and crack cocaine—enough to flood the streets.
Sentenced to 21 Months in Young Offenders Institution
At Huntingdon Law Courts on 23 March, Pereira pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine, plus possession of criminal property. The judge slammed him with a 21-month sentence in a young offenders institution.
“This was a great spot by our neighbourhood officers responding to community concerns about drug dealing,” said Detective Constable Igor Simonov. “Drug dealing and the associated criminality hit the community hard. We urge everyone to report any concerns.”
