Fatal Wandsworth Stabbing: Third Arrest Made
Detectives have swooped again in the hunt for answers after an 18-year-old was fatally stabbed in Wandsworth. On Monday, June 17, a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to a west London police station for questioning.
Two Charged, More Questions Remain
Before this latest arrest, two suspects were already charged. A 17-year-old from Merton and Mohammed Nadir Dafallah, 18, from Wandsworth, were charged on Sunday, June 16. They face murder charges over the stabbing on Deeside Road on the afternoon of Friday, June 14.
The pair are set to appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 17. Meanwhile, four others aged between 16 and 19 have been released under investigation as police keep digging.
Investigation Underway, Community on Edge
The Homicide and Major Crime Command has opened an incident room to oversee the probe. A post-mortem at St George’s Hospital confirmed a single stab wound was the cause of death.
Officers from the South West Command Unit continue to patrol the area, offering reassurance and speaking with locals as the tense investigation presses on.
