Gosport Burglar Paul Anderson Locked Up for 4 Years

A notorious burglar has finally been sent down for a four-year stretch after a spree of break-ins across Gosport.

Three Burglaries That Caught Him Out

Paul Anderson, 49, from Croydon, admitted to breaking into multiple properties in Gosport. Between September 26-27, he stole jewellery from a flat on The Anchorage. On October 24, he raided a house on Peel Road and made off with clothes. Just five days later, on October 29, he struck again – stealing jewellery from a home on Monckton Road.

More Crime Caught on Camera

His Gosport crimes weren’t the only ones. Anderson also faced charges for three burglaries in London. Additionally, the court took into account ten more break-ins and a theft in Gosport, including:

  • Dimensions Hairdressers, North Cross Street (Oct 1)
  • Fox and Sons Estate Agents, High Street (Oct 14)
  • Homes on Molesworth Road, Rectory Close, Green Road, Grove Avenue, Elson Lane, St Thomas’ Road, Blake Road, and Peel Road between August and October
  • Theft from a boat at Gosport Marina (Aug 19)

Court Sentences Burglar

Anderson pled guilty at Portsmouth Crown Court and was sentenced on February 15. Police Staff Investigator Catherine Cole said, “The sentence reflects the seriousness of Anderson’s offending and we hope it brings some closure to his victims.”
