A convicted paedophile, jailed for downloading and sharing horrific child abuse images, is now living shockingly close to a Portsmouth infant school. Lloyd Butler, once locked up for distributing vile movies and photos showing children being raped and tortured, resides just 200 metres from the Stamshaw school.
Brutal Crimes Uncovered
Back in 2014, Butler’s dark deeds were exposed at Portsmouth Crown Court. Known to pals as “Oz,” he pleaded guilty to distributing indecent images and movies of child sexual abuse to other paedophiles online. Officers found damning proof — 24 films and 1,461 pictures — saved on his computer, which came to light when a friend stumbled upon deleted files while using Butler’s laptop.
Short Prison Stint & Continued Risks
Despite the gravity of his crimes, Butler served only 18 months of a three-year sentence inside Broadmoor Hospital before being released. He must register as a sex offender, but disturbing past allegations against him — including rape — never led to convictions due to lack of evidence.
