Armed officers and Met response teams descended on Derby Road, Enfield, this afternoon following a shocking shooting. A man was shot in the neck around 3pm on Saturday, sparking a major police operation.

Man Airlifted in Critical Condition

Police were alerted at 2:33pm when hospital staff admitted a male in his 20s with a gunshot wound. The victim, now in critical condition, received emergency treatment before being airlifted from North Middlesex Hospital.

Massive Crime Scene and Ongoing Investigation

  • A large cordon remains in place around Derby Road.
  • Officers are combing the area for clues.
  • No arrests have been made yet.

Police believe the shooting happened nearby on Derby Road, N21. Enquiries continue as officers probe the incident.
