Man Charged with Murder of West Kensington Youth

A 22-year-old man has been charged with the murder of 21-year-old Janayo Lucima following a tragic attack in West Kensington. Emergency crews found Janayo with fatal injuries on Comeragh Road at 10:15 pm on April 1. He was pronounced dead shortly before 10:55 pm at the scene.

Suspect Appears at Westminster Magistrates’ Court

The accused made his first court appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on April 8 and has been remanded in custody. His next hearing is set for April 10 at the Old Bailey as the investigation advances.

Two More Arrests as Police Keep Up the Hunt

Police have also arrested two other males aged 17 and 22 on suspicion of murder. Both remain in custody as detectives continue their enquiries.

Officers will be returning to the area around 123 Comeragh Road to gather more evidence. They are urging anyone with information or who was in the vicinity between 9:40 pm and 10:30 pm — including Comeragh Road, Barton Road, and Palliser Road near Barons Court Tube Station — to come forward immediately.

Police Launch Urgent Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Chief Inspector Howie said the probe is “fast-paced and complex.” He vowed, “We are determined to identify everyone responsible and deliver justice for Janayo’s family.”
