19-Year-Old Charged with Murder in Harrow Stabbing
Detectives have made a big breakthrough in the shocking murder of Robert Weston in Harrow. Jaden Sheriff, 19, from Forston Street, N1, was arrested and charged with murder.
Swift Arrest and Court Appearance
Sheriff was arrested on Tuesday, 27 February, and by the early hours of Thursday, 29 February, he was formally charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon. He appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court the same day and was remanded in custody ahead of his Old Bailey hearing on Monday, 4 March.
Tragic Stabbing Sparks Murder Inquiry
The investigation began after police were called to a stabbing on Hamilton Crescent at around 2:05pm on Monday, 26 February. Officers and paramedics from London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance rushed to the scene but were unable to save the victim.
Robert Weston, a man in his 30s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is receiving support from specially trained officers.
Police Appeal for Information
The Metropolitan Police’s Directorate of Professional Standards has referred the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) due to prior police contacts.
