The shocking incident took place at the high-security prison in Greenwich. Wing staff found the inmate with a slash wound to his throat during routine checks. It’s alleged the prisoner was beheaded by his cellmate.

Two female guards were the first to come across the chilling scene. Both have since been offered counselling to cope with the traumatic sight.
Police Confirm Details of the Incident
A MET Police spokesperson said: “The man, aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ambulance Service. Officers are working to inform his next of kin. Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.”
