Witham Man Faces Court Over Sexual Offence Charges
Sex Offender Nabbed in Police Operation
A 53-year-old man from Witham is set to appear in court later this month after officers cracked down on dangerous offenders. The Management of Sexual Offenders and Violent Offenders team (MOSOVO), working with Cyber Crime experts, swooped on a Harebell Drive address on 23 September.
Devices Seized in Raids
During the raid, police seized electronic devices and arrested Sanjoy Rajput on suspicion of serious offences.
Charged with Breaching Sexual Harm Prevention Order
Rajput has been charged with breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and failing to comply with sex offender registration rules. He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on 24 September and is due back at Chelmsford Crown Court on 22 October.
