Burglar Nabbed After String of Raids in Lymington and New Milton

Stephen Joseph Dempsey, 46, has been charged with four burglaries following a spree across Lymington and New Milton between late September and early November.

Four Thefts, One Suspect

The break-ins hit several local spots, with cash and goods stolen:

  • Visual Vibes, Milford Road: £245 cash stolen on Wednesday 28 October at 11.43pm.
  • The Wok Inn, Milford Road: Two raids – £1,100 cash taken on 1 and 2 October (11.30pm and 1.30am respectively).
  • Perfumery & Company, Lymington High Street: Perfume and aftershave worth around £4,500 stolen on Sunday 27 September at 9.26pm.
  • Ciao Bella, Gosport Street: Roughly £100 taken during overnight theft between 31 October and 1 November.

Man Bailed, Court Date Set

Dempsey, from Lower Buckland Road, appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court on 3 November. He was bailed with conditions and will next face court on Monday 8 March 2021.
