Teen Shot in Ilford Shooting Horror
Armed cops and paramedics scrambled to New North Road, Ilford, on Wednesday night after reports of a shooting. The panic began just before 10pm, with emergency services rushing to the scene.
Victim, 19, Stable After Gunshot
Officers found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was blitzed to an east London hospital where he’s now in a stable condition – thankfully not life-threatening.
No Arrests Yet as Police Probe Shooting
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command is leading the hunt for answers. So far, no one has been arrested.

The Met is urging anyone who saw the shooting or has footage to come forward. You can call 101 or report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Information can also be submitted online at crimestoppers-uk.org.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Police were called at 21:46hrs on 3 April following reports of a shooting at New North Road, Ilford. Armed police and London Ambulance Service attended. A 19-year-old man with a gunshot injury was found and taken to an east London hospital where his condition is not life-threatening. No arrests have been made at this early stage. Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating. Anyone who witnessed this or has footage should call police on 101 or post on X @MetCC quoting 7652/3APR.”
