Man Charged with Murder After Waldegrave Road Stabbing
A 42-year-old man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in a north London home.
Victim Dies After Late-Night Attack
Police were called to Waldegrave Road, N8, just before midnight on Saturday, 13 June, after reports of a 48-year-old man suffering stab wounds.
Emergency services rushed the victim to hospital, but he sadly died shortly before 1am on Sunday, 14 June.
His identity is yet to be confirmed. Next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
Suspect in Custody and Charged
A 42-year-old man, Marian Anghel, a Romanian national from Waldegrave Road, was arrested on suspicion of murder. He is believed to have known the victim.
On Monday, 15 June, Anghel was formally charged with murder and is due to appear in custody at Highbury Magistrates’ Court later the same day.
The police are not releasing the victim’s name at this time while investigations continue.
