Second Woman Snared in Shocking Fake Carer Scam in Maidstone

The Deceitful Heist Uncovered

A 91-year-old dementia patient in Maidstone became the latest victim of a heartless con when a fake carer swiped her bank card. On Saturday 15 November 2025, just after 11am, a stranger knocked on a home near Week Street. Posing as a legitimate care worker, she charmed a relative and walked off with the pensioner’s bank card.

The fraudster went on a spending spree, racking up over £2,000 in unauthorised cash withdrawals and purchases.

Mum and Daughter Duo Nabbed

  • Her daughter, Siobhan Perry, 43, of Station Road, Maidstone, was later arrested and charged with six counts of fraud by false representation. She appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on 26 November and was also remanded in custody.
