Drug Dealer’s Daring Escape Bid Foiled – Jailed for Two Years
Busted in Bilborough
Christopher Horner tried to outrun police by leaping out of his bedroom window. But his desperate escape didn’t save him. The 23-year-old drug dealer was caught after officers spotted him conducting a shady drug deal near his home in Bilborough on 27 August 2021.
Police Find Mini Drug Factory
When officers barged into Horner’s house, he was nowhere to be found – having fled by jumping over garden fences. Inside his bedroom, they uncovered a full-blown “mini drugs factory” packed with Class A drugs, production gear, weighing scales, deal bags, wraps of cocaine, and several mobile phones loaded with incriminating messages.
Convicted and Locked Up
Horner was convicted of two counts of Class A drug possession and one count of possession with intent. Nottingham Crown Court sentenced him to two years behind bars on Tuesday 14 February 2023.
Police Praise Patrol Efforts
Detective Constable Michael Love of Nottinghamshire Police said: “Horner was running a sizeable drugs operation from his bedroom and it is thanks to the actions of police on patrol that we were able to put an end to his criminal activity.
“We run patrols like this regularly in order to catch dealers and bring them to justice. Drugs continue to be a serious blight on our communities, and dealers like Horner prey on the most vulnerable members of our society to make huge profits.”
