Drug Dealer’s Daring Escape Bid Ends Behind Bars

Cornered and Caught in Bilborough

Christopher Horner, 23, tried to ditch police by leaping out of his bedroom window. But his daring escape didn’t save him from jail.

Officers on a plain-clothes patrol spotted Horner making a drug deal near his Bilborough home on 27 August 2021. They followed him as he ducked down an alley and into his house.

Mini Drug Factory Busted

When cops forced entry, Horner had vanished, fleeing over garden fences after his bedroom window escape stunt. Inside, they uncovered a “mini drugs factory” packed with Class A substances, production gear, scales, deal bags, and cocaine wraps.

Horner also had multiple phones. Messages on them tied him directly to drug deals, cementing the case against him.

Two Years Behind Bars

At Nottingham Crown Court on 14 February 2023, Horner was convicted of two counts of Class A possession and one of possession with intent to supply. He got a two-year prison sentence.

Detective Constable Michael Love, Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Horner was running a sizeable drugs operation from his bedroom and it is thanks to the actions of police on patrol that we were able to put an end to his criminal activity.”

“We run patrols like this regularly to catch dealers and bring them to justice. Drugs continue to be a serious blight on our communities, and dealers like Horner prey on the most vulnerable members of our society to make huge profits.”
