Horror Scene Caught on Camera

Disturbing footage has emerged showing a man allegedly dumping 50 dead hares outside the Broughton Community Shop in Stockbridge. The clip, played in court during Jamie Kempster’s trial, shows a hooded figure and another man tossing the animals from a vehicle at 3.23am on 15 March 2024.

Man Faces Serious Charges

Jamie Kempster, 39, from Totton, Southampton, stands accused of two counts of possessing a dead bird under the Wildlife and Countryside Act and criminal damage to the shop’s front, which is volunteer-run. DNA evidence linked Kempster to the hares, and his phone location, clothes, and ties to a burnt-out vehicle found nearby also place him at the scene.

‘Like Something from a Horror Movie’

Prosecutor Adam Cooper described the dump as a “horror movie” moment. The motive behind the disgusting crime remains unclear, and Kempster denies all charges as the trial continues at Southampton Magistrates’ Court.
