Teen Charged with Murder After Hackney Stabbing

A 17-year-old boy is set to appear in court accused of murder following a fatal stabbing in Hackney.

Court Date Set for Stratford Magistrates’

The teenager was arrested by detectives on Monday, February 19. He will be held in custody ahead of his court appearance at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 21.

Victim Identified as 17-Year-Old Nathan Bawuah

The charges relate to a tragic incident on Hackney Road, E2, on Saturday, February 17. Nathan Bawuah, also 17, died following the stabbing. His family has been informed and is receiving specialist support, though formal identification is still pending.

Post-Mortem Scheduled

A post-mortem examination will take place on Wednesday, February 21, at Poplar Mortuary to determine the exact cause of death.
