Teen Jailed for Sexually Assaulting Two Young Girls in McDonald’s
Oliver Carr, 19, has been locked up after sexually assaulting two children while he worked at a McDonald’s in Swadlincote. Carr, who was 18 when the crimes took place, targeted the victims despite knowing their ages.
Horror Incident Unfolds in McDonald’s Cupboard
In March, Carr took a girl under 10 into a staff cupboard at the Swadlincote branch. He locked the door and touched her inappropriately. The brave victim told her family immediately, who alerted the police. Carr was arrested at the scene.
Another Girl Victim Comes Forward
As police investigated, a second girl came forward, revealing Carr had sent her sexual messages. He met her twice, kissing and touching her, even though she hadn’t reached her teens. Both victims endured grooming and abuse by Carr.
Court Sends Carr Down for 18 Months
Carr faced Derby Crown Court on 28 November. He pleaded guilty to sexual touching, engaging in sexual communication with a child, and attempting to meet a girl under 16 following grooming. The judge sentenced him to 18 months in prison.
Carr was also slapped with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, barring him from contacting the victims, and must sign the sex offender’s register for life.
Detective Constable Natalie Fletcher said: “Carr deliberately targeted these two girls, knowing how young they were. His actions were despicable and have left long-lasting trauma. The victims showed immense bravery throughout, with strong family support.”
“I hope custody gives Carr time to reflect and helps the victims move on from this ordeal. Anyone who has suffered sexual assault should come forward – we will listen, support, and seek justice.”
