Nightclub Stabbing Shakes Birmingham: Licence Suspended After Tragedy

Tragedy struck at Birmingham’s Crane Nightclub in Digbeth just before midnight. Mr Fisher, 23, was fatally stabbed on the dancefloor shortly before 11.45pm on Boxing Day.

Licence Suspended Amid Ongoing Investigation

In response, Birmingham City Council has swiftly suspended the nightclub’s licence. A full hearing is set to take place within the next four weeks. Lawyers for the licence holder did not challenge the suspension, stating they will use the 28-day period to “reflect and assist the police with the criminal investigation.”

Arrests Made After Fatal Nightclub Attack

Police have now named the victim and made three arrests in connection with Mr Fisher’s murder. His grieving friends have paid heartfelt tributes, calling him their “best friend.”
