Three nabbed after daring twin raids on Vodafone shops in Sevenoaks and Tonbridge

Bold Break-ins Target Vodafone Stores

Thieves struck twice in under 24 hours, hitting Vodafone stores in Sevenoaks and Tonbridge, making off with dozens of pricey phones and tablets. The first attempt happened just after 5.10pm on Friday, 14 March, when two men broke into the Sevenoaks High Street shop. They tried to get into a staff-only area but fled before police arrived.

Less than a day later, at 9.10am on Saturday, 15 March, three men raided the Tonbridge High Street Vodafone store. They stole 60 mobile phones and two tablets before officers swooped and arrested four suspects nearby within minutes.

Charged and Facing Justice

  • Sam Jarra, 24, from Scarsbrook Road, Blackheath, has pleaded guilty to robbery and is in custody.
  • Tyrone Curland, 20, of no fixed address, faces robbery and attempted burglary charges linked to the Sevenoaks raid.
  • A 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named due to age, is also charged with robbery and attempted burglary.

Jarra and Curland are due in Maidstone Crown Court on 14 April. The teenage suspect will appear at Medway Youth Court on 10 April. A fourth man arrested was released without charges.

“Swift attendance by officers enabled the arrest of four suspects within minutes of the incident being reported. Investigations remain ongoing.” – Kent Police spokesperson
