Three Teens Charged with Murder After Fatal Attack in Leysdown-on-Sea
Three teenagers have been charged with murder following the death of 49-year-old Alexander Cashford in Leysdown-on-Sea, Isle of Sheppey.
Violent Attack on Warden Bay Road
Kent Police were called to Warden Bay Road near Jetty Road shortly after 7pm on Sunday, 10 August. Officers responded to reports of a disturbance involving a small group. It is alleged that Alexander Cashford was assaulted and suffered multiple injuries. Despite desperate efforts from emergency crews, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspects Arrested and Charged
Within hours, two boys aged 14 and 15, and a 16-year-old girl— all from London— were arrested. On Tuesday, 12 August, the trio were charged with murder by joint enterprise. They were remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court the next day.
Additionally, a 12-year-old girl arrested on 12 August remains in custody as inquiries continue.
