Brutal Duo Jail Time After Rampage Across West Midlands

Jardel Faure, 24, and 20-year-old Mark Harris launched a terrifying spree of violent attacks on 21 October 2021. Both pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm and affray at Wolverhampton Crown Court on 22 November.

Bottles, Bites & Blows: The Shocking Assaults

  • The pair admitted 10 offences in total.
  • Faure smashed a vodka bottle over a woman’s head.
  • They viciously bit and kicked a man on the street.
  • The duo also attacked a 16-year-old boy, leaving him with cuts and bruises.

The trouble started in Stourbridge town centre around 4pm, where the pair were drinking. They then jumped on a bus to Brierley Hill. There, they verbally abused a woman before violently striking her with the bottle. Two Good Samaritans who tried to help were also attacked.

From Brierley Hill, they headed to Merry Hill bus station and set upon the teenage boy, inflicting painful injuries to his face and ribs.

Jail Sentences Handed Down

Faure was sentenced to 36 months behind bars. Harris, still a young offender, got 33 months in a Young Offenders’ Institution.

“This was a truly nasty string of unprovoked and brutal attacks,” said DS Drew Turner from the Volume, Violence and Acquisitive Crime team. “These offenders travelled to three different locations to carry out their appalling crimes, which caused significant physical and emotional harm to their victims.”

“Violence like this is completely unacceptable and we welcome news of this sentencing.”
