Two men have been locked up after a savage attempted murder in Larbert. Liam Mathewson, 23, was handed a 10-year sentence, while 24-year-old Connor Swanston received seven years. Victim Airlifted After Vicious Attack
The horror unfolded on the evening of 25 June 2022, around 6.45pm. A 36-year-old man was brutally attacked inside a flat, suffering serious head and upper body injuries. He was rushed by air ambulance to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for emergency treatment.
Detective Inspector Condemns Brutality
“This was a particularly violent attack that left a man in the hospital with serious injuries to his head and upper body which could have cost him his life,” said Detective Inspector John Currie, who led the investigation.
“Mathewson and Swanston will now face the consequences of their behaviour, and I hope that the sentence brings the victim some kind of comfort.”
