Folkestone Harbour Assault Sparks Police Appeal

Police are hunting witnesses after a violent scuffle at Folkestone harbour left one man battered with a metal object and a car damaged.

Spanner Attack and Car Damage in The Stade

The incident went down around 5.45pm on Monday, July 18, 2022, in The Stade area of Folkestone. Two men clashed with another group, and one was reportedly struck with a metal object believed to be a spanner.

Two of the men then jumped into a white Mercedes, which was subsequently damaged by the other group. Everyone involved fled the scene. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.

Two Arrested But Investigation Continues

Kent Police swooped on two men, aged 19 and 21 from north London, arresting them on suspicion of affray. Both have since been released under investigation as inquiries roll on.
