Armed Robbery Shakes Walton Supermarket
Merseyside Police are hunting a masked gunman who struck at Farmfoods on Walton Road yesterday evening, December 8. The brazen robbery unfolded around 6.30pm when the suspect threatened staff with a suspected firearm and demanded cash from the till before fleeing on foot.
Suspect on the Run – Police Issue Description
The suspect is described as a white male dressed head to toe in grey—a hoodie, jogging bottoms—and wearing black gloves and a balaclava. Witnesses say he ran through the McDonald’s car park heading towards Salop Street.
Thankfully, no one was hurt, but staff were left traumatised by the shocking ordeal.
Police Urge Public to Come Forward
“This was a shocking incident and we are taking it extremely seriously. We are determined to find the suspect and bring them to justice,” said Detective Inspector Leanne Toole.
“We urge anyone who witnessed the robbery or has any information to contact us immediately. Please check CCTV or dashcam footage if you were nearby at the time.”
“Gun crime will not be tolerated in our community. If you have any tips about firearms or this incident, please help us take action.”
