Man Arrested After Shocking Crash Near Medway Tunnel

A 48-year-old man was arrested following a collision between a white MG HS and a grey Vauxhall Corsa near the Medway Tunnel. The crash unfolded at around 3.45pm on Thursday, 1 February 2024, on Pier Road right by the police station.

Deliberate Crash Sparks Police Probe

Reports say the MG driver caused the Vauxhall to swerve dangerously towards a road barrier. Witnesses claim the suspect then cut in front of the Vauxhall and slammed on the brakes, forcing the other car to smash into the back of the MG.

Suspect Bailed as Investigation Continues

Police quickly arrived on scene and arrested the man on suspicion of dangerous driving and criminal damage. He has been bailed pending further enquiries until 30 April.
