A police cordon went up outside the Tesco Metro on The Vale, Acton, as officers investigated a serious emergency overnight. The store was closed at the time, and police had left before it opened.

Incident unfolds just after 2.40am

Officers were called at 2.44am on Monday, January 18, following reports of an injured man. London Ambulance Service also rushed to the scene. The man was quickly taken to a Central London hospital, but his condition remains unknown.

No arrests as probe continues

So far, no arrests have been made. The Metropolitan Police confirmed: “Police were called at 2.44am to reports of an injured man on The Vale. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. The man was taken to a Central London hospital for treatment.”
