Tragic Triple Death in South East London
Neighbours have named the 47-year-old mother found dead with her two young sons as Nadja De Jager. The heartbreaking discovery happened at their home on Mayfield Road, Belvedere, near Bexleyheath.
Shock in the Community
The boys, aged seven and nine, were also found dead inside the house after police and London Ambulance Service were called on Thursday lunchtime.
One neighbour said, “I’m absolutely shocked. The first sign something was wrong was seeing the police arrive. I later learned that Nadja and her two sons had died.”
They added, “I didn’t know her well, just a hello now and then, but she was always smart and her kids seemed well cared for.”
Investigation Underway
Ms De Jager worked as managing director of a local real estate firm.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed:
“Police were called at 11:50 a.m. on Thursday, 9 March, over concerns for the occupants’ welfare. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene. A 47-year-old woman and two boys, aged nine and seven, were found dead inside the property.”
“Next of kin have been notified. Post-mortem examinations will be arranged soon. The investigation is being led by the Met’s Specialist Crime Command. At this early stage, detectives are not actively seeking anyone else connected with the case. A crime scene remains in place.”
