Massive Blaze Hits Bungalow on Hallyburton Road
At 8.25pm, thick smoke erupted from a bungalow on Hallyburton Road, sparking an urgent fire response. Within an hour, four fire engines, an aerial ladder platform, and numerous officers swarmed the scene.
Firefighters Wage Battle with Flames
Armed with six breathing apparatus, two hose reels, and a main jet, firefighters threw everything at the blaze. Police officers also stepped in to help control the situation.
All Residents Safe as Firefighters Contain Blaze
By 10pm, a spokesperson for Essex & Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) confirmed: “Everyone has been accounted for. Crews are now damping down and cutting away to ensure the fire is fully out.”
Thanks to the crews’ hard work, the fire was stopped from spreading to neighbouring homes. The cause of the blaze remains unknown.
