Police have swooped, arresting two more suspects linked to the stabbing of a 16-year-old boy in Forest Gate’s West Ham Park on Sunday, 9 July.

Four Teens in Custody Over Attempted Murder

A 14-year-old and a 16-year-old have been detained on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in custody. They join two other 16-year-olds already held by police as the investigation intensifies.

Victim Fighting for Life in Hospital

The teenage victim is battling for his life in an east London hospital after officers found him with stab wounds just after 5:30pm on Sunday. Police administered emergency first aid while awaiting London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance paramedics.

Police Plea: Witnesses Urged to Speak Up

Chief Superintendent Simon Crick, head of policing in Newham, said: “This is a tragic and senseless stabbing of a young person in Newham. My thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends. As a father, I can only imagine their pain.

“This shocking incident will send shockwaves through our communities. I urge anyone who was in the park at the time to come forward and assist police in bringing the perpetrators to justice.”
