Teen Stabbed in Highworth High Street Knife Attack – Police Hunt Masked Gang
Chaos erupted in Highworth High Street around 8.30pm last Thursday when a teenager was stabbed in a shocking violent spree. Emergency services scrambled to the scene after urgent 999 calls, deploying police officers, dog units, and the NPAS helicopter to track down the attackers.
Masked Gang on the Loose After Knife Attack
Police say the injured teen was caught up in a nasty clash with a group of males reportedly armed with weapons and wearing balaclavas. The group caused chaos near the Co-op before moving closer to the King and Queen pub.
“We responded to reports that a teenager had been hurt in Highworth High Street, following an altercation with a group of males who were reportedly carrying weapons and wearing balaclavas,” a police spokesman confirmed.
Second Victim Stabbed Near Turkish Barbers
A witness revealed the gang also stabbed a second young person near the Turkish barbershop, leaving them bleeding on the street. Police cordoned off the area after discovering key evidence.
“There was a row near the Co-op and the masked boys went into High Street, near the King and Queen,” said the witness. “They stabbed a second young person who was bleeding.”
Police Urge Public to Come Forward
No arrests have been made yet, and police are desperate for anyone who was in the area to come forward. Detective Inspector Rachel Hardy appealed to motorists and residents for help.
“The young victim is lucky not to have suffered life-threatening injuries. If you were driving through the High Street and Swindon Street intersection that night, please share any dash cam footage.
“Someone out there knows who was involved. We urge witnesses or anyone with information to contact us.”
