Knife-Wielding Burglar Sparks Fear in Upper Stratton

A terrifying raid unfolded on September 24 in Upper Stratton’s Evergreens Close at around 2:30pm. A burglar armed with a knife forced their way into a home but left empty-handed. Thankfully, no one was hurt. The victim, however, was left visibly shaken by the ordeal.

Highworth Homes Ransacked: Jewellery Stolen in Multiple Raids

  • Windrush Property: Between 7:15am and the afternoon, burglars trashed a residence. It’s unclear if any items were stolen.
  • Stormer Way: Another break-in took place between 2pm and 5pm, with jewellery reported stolen.

Police Dogs Conan and Bane Nab Two Suspects

Police sprang into action after spotting a suspicious vehicle near Gablecross Police Station. The suspects, two men in their 20s, attempted to flee but were tracked down and arrested thanks to police dogs Conan and Bane. They now face charges of burglary and failing to stop for police.

PC Kyra Freeland said: “Burglary is a devastating ordeal for victims and can leave them feeling unsafe in their own homes. This is totally unacceptable and we will do everything to bring those responsible to justice.”

She added: “We’ve made two arrests but enquiries continue. Anyone with doorbell or dash cam footage, or who saw anything suspicious in these areas, should get in touch immediately.”
