Man Stabbed on Ilford Lane on New Year’s Day
A man in his 20s was rushed to hospital after a stabbing on Ilford Lane, sparking a major police probe.
Stabbing Shakes New Year’s Day in Ilford
Police were called just after 4pm on January 1 to reports of a stabbing. Officers and paramedics found the victim with stab wounds at the scene. He was taken to an east London hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Arrest Made in Romford
By 7:30pm, a 38-year-old man was arrested at a Romford address. He’s now in custody at an east London police station as detectives dig deeper into the attack.
Police Urge Public to Come Forward

“Enquiries are ongoing, and we are working to establish the circumstances of this attack,” said a Met Police spokesperson. “We urge anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward and assist our investigation.”
