Knife Fight Horror in Islington: Man in His 20s Stabbed Multiple Times
A brutal knife fight in Islington left a man in his 20s seriously wounded early Saturday morning. The stabbing happened at 3.45am on May 17, right on Watkinson Road near Caledonian Road Tube Station in North London.
Stabbing Chaos on Watkinson Road
Witnesses reported seeing a violent dispute involving several men armed with knives. Police rushed to the scene after frantic calls. They found the victim with multiple stab wounds to his chest and back.
Ambulance crews and London’s Air Ambulance team attended immediately. The injured man was swiftly taken to a major trauma centre. Thankfully, his condition is now stable and no longer life-threatening, a Met Police spokesperson confirmed.
No Arrests Yet as Forensics Swarm Scene
Despite a hefty police cordon that sealed off Watkinson Road, Pipers Close, and the nearby tube station for hours, cops have made no arrests as of Tuesday, May 20.
Forensic officers combed the area into the evening, gathering vital evidence. Detectives are now appealing to the public for any information that could crack the case.
“Officers were called after reports of a group of men fighting with knives. One man was found with multiple stab injuries. He was taken to hospital, and we’re pleased his condition is no longer life-threatening. The investigation continues, but no arrests have been made yet,” said a Met Police spokesperson.
Emergency Services Responded Quickly
The London Ambulance Service added: “We were called at 3.54am to reports of an incident in Watkinson Road, Islington. Ambulance crews, a paramedic in a response car, an incident response officer, and London’s Air Ambulance were all dispatched. The patient was treated onsite and transported to a major trauma centre.”
