Man Punches Bar Staff, Victim Left Seriously Injured

A violent attack erupted at the Rose and Crown on Grosvenor Road around 10.20pm on Saturday, 27 April 2024. A man, who had been asked to leave following an earlier incident, threw a savage punch at a staff member, leaving them with serious facial injuries.

Police Release Suspect Image

PC Chris Leary, the investigating officer, blasted the “unprovoked and violent assault” that forced the victim into ongoing hospital care. He said:

“We are now releasing an image of a man who may be able to assist with our enquiries and are urging anyone who recognises him to get in touch.”
